The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning/ afternoon everyone! I'm late to the party & heading back out. Working on water lines at our sons place...they have it listed to sell...I will be glad when they do, then we will only have our place to keep up with... :gig

Hi Rene, has your husband found out yet that retirement is more work than his old job at the dam?

Hope the water line work goes well!

Yes, definitely...but, he would rather be working outside than down in the dam...he certainly doesn't miss that dam job... :gig

Honestly, we've been working more at their place since Derek got sick, it's been over a year, so it's been a little less work not having to go to his regular job on top of their place & ours. Hoping their place sells quickly!

One water line done...not sure what's next...there is a light at the end of the tunnel! 😊

Just be sure that light at the end of the tunnel isn't a freight train!

I guess squirting him with the hose wasn't enough to convince him.

As hot as it's been around you, he might have thought you were just doing something nice and cooling him off.

Man! Hot!! Ridiculous!!! 104 and 102 the last few days...again tommorow. Then we're lucky, it drops to 96. 🙄. South end of our state is dangerous. 111 and 112. Have a son there that went camping hoping to be relieved a bit if the heat. He said it was still pretty hot. My poor chickens. Panting, wings spread out. They are new layers, still laying in this heat. I water down the dirt in their run a couple of times a day.

Hi Cynthia, so good to hear from you! Not so glad to hear you're melting though. Hopefully, things start to cool down soon.
