The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I have the tear duct plugs too -boy the Dr. charges a fortune for them.
Yeah I don't understand how they can cost that much!

Good morning Rene, Bob and Chrissy (or as Bruce & Rene would say "hey y'all)
Yep, growing up in So Cal, everyone was greeted with "Hey" or "Hey y'all"
Oh, wait, that was probably people growing up in SO CAroLina
:gig :lau

What slicing jig does Bruce have? I don't like the one I have. Thanks!
This one I haven't used it yet. Have to wait until gluten intolerant DD1 heads back to school in Canada next Friday.

You can sharpen serrated knives with the same steels used to sharpen a chain saw. I have sharpened mine that way
Curious. There are various sizes of chain saw files but none are as large diameter as the serrations in the bread knife I currently have. Don't know about the one that came with the slicer, I didn't look at it very carefully.

The outbreak in Auckland is ballooning and one of the initial cases went to Rotorua (another NZ city) while experiencing symptoms and did a whole lot of touristy things down there, so it could well be in other centres.
There are a WHOLE lot of (insert MANY bad words here) stupid people in the world. I guess they aren't all in the USA.

in some parts of the us that dr pepper can't be found

CO2 is not being produced at the same level due to less demand for ethanol production and that is where the CO2 comes from
OK, let me get this straight. We presumably have global climate change due to all the excess CO2 we pump into the atmosphere and we have to MAKE IT for carbonated drinks? :th
And they are trying to figure out how to capture it and sequester it underground? :th

I had no idea there was a DrPepper crisis!
Me either, forget the TP, I gotta get more Dr. Pepper!!!!

So do I...I love getting them for Christmas!
Is that a hint and do we have your address?

when he emailed and told me she was doing fine and her name, i had to laugh, thats such a great name

We might be consuming a lot more Soda than before?
Or maybe it is all the gazillion versions of fruit flavored seltzer water?
BTW, does anyone know what salts are in Polar? My sister in law drinks it so I've been buying it while she's here. They claim no sodium but there are clearly other salts in the water, the tongue does not lie. No salts listed in the ingredients, must be part of the "natural flavors".

Our local craft beer places are currently shut down but they are up in arms trying to get the mayor to override the governor and let them start up again. One said he spent 5 years building his business and if he didn't start back up now he would lose it all.
How many people work at this brewery? Seems like they could work masked and "socially distanced" to make the beer.
