He doesn't really let you resist most of the time 🙄😅
Looks big enough that you don't really have a choice.

Safer from Covid for now maybe yeah.
Yep, we've turned the corner. New high of 75K new cases in the USA yesterday, eclipsed by 85K today.

It was definitely a surprise to wake up to that much. Especially in October!
Definitely WAY too much for October! I don't really need 18" all at once.

I bowed out of a big gathering for Thanksgiving this year and my family isn’t too happy about it. I saw a story on the news that talked about a family gathering where one person had Covid with no symptoms. Only the four people who stayed outside the whole time didn’t get sick, 18 other people did. That was enough for me.

Here we are not supposed to have gatherings of more than 16 people from 3 families...Outside!

Inside is not allowed at present.

My Opie was a stray, he adopted us by just showing up at the door around Thanksgiving 2016 and made himself right at home. He's the boss of the house now.

Strays can make for some wonderful pets, I think they appreciate being cared for.
Awe, they definitely know who will love them :love

We had a very cool cat named DC that showed up and promptly made himself at home on my lap one cold, windy night. He was a thin little guy too young to be outside on his own. He ended being the best cat.

I wonder how many people follow those rules.
My husband is basically dealing with the public and my daughter works where prisoners are kept so they are our biggest risk. We aren’t taking any chances. I feel bad to disappoint folks but I really don’t want to get sick.

My Mom said virtual thanks giving this year. She is 80 and at high risk so it is a good thing to stay safe

That is not unreasonable!!!

DW's dad has Parkinsons and isn't doing all that well, currently at rehab after a fall. He is 95. MIL is 87 and having a tough time of it with the Covid lockdown and FIL's status. He was pretty much fine before the Covid thing started but has been going downhill. She said she's coming for Thanksgiving regardless.

DW's sister is a teacher in VA and will be coming up on Veterans Day and will stay through the end of the year. Her school is 100% virtual until at least January. She came in the summer and isolated mostly outside, masked inside though I don't think she'll be pitching a tent on the back deck this time of year. She was here for a month this summer, 2 weeks of isolation and a negative Covid test so she could see her parents on M-W-F for 2 weeks. Normally she is there a fair bit of the summer when she isn't travelling. Other than those 2, and FIL if he can make it, there will only be DW, DD2 and me.

It seems like it was just yesterday that he showed up.
