The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Morning Sue, hope your arm feels better today!

Don't I wish 😞, just got back from the doctor and it's broke in two places and he is doing surgery tomorrow morning. He is putting a plate and pins in my wrist.

Sue, how have you been doing?

Things are pretty much the same across the board and I don't know if you saw but I fell on Monday and broke my wrist in two places. Tomorrow morning I have surgery to put a metal plate and pins in. My right knee gave out when I was coming up the stairs outside after collecting eggs, which I've been doing for weeks.

How are you doing overall? I worry about you too!

Sue, so sorry about the surgery :hugs Will you be staying in the hospital for a while or will they send you home the same day?

Thank you 🤗

Nope, out patient , I have to be there at 6:30
My DW had a surgery like this for her wrist after her motorcycle accident. The second one was outpatient. She was still recovering from the accident for the first one

This was interesting:
"In Wyoming, the NWS in Cheyenne reported a 105-mph gust near F.E. Warren Air Force Base and 16 other gusts of 80 mph or more in the last 12 hours.

The winds were so extreme that Union Pacific stopped trains between North Platte, Nebraska, and Green River, Wyoming, "until it is safe to resume service,"

I told you it was windy in WY! Wow!

:D

The Flying Nun could have a blast in that.

I hope you can stay home and safe today DMC. That's scary what happened to the lady that hasn't been found yet.
I worked until almost 2. It hasn’t fired up too bad yet. They sent school kids home at 1:30 and the daycare closed at 4:00. Depending on what it does in the night we will be closed tomorrow.

Most people think she went into water as there was so much open water at the time and then it got bitterly cold and probably froze over. The way that snow and wind blew it would have covered her tracks. That was the same bad storm we got here.
Is she fixed now too?

Our two cats were feral rescues. It takes some work to tame them
She is not fixed. We’d have to trap her to do it. We tried when she was young to tame her but she wants nothing to do with us. We’ve been able to pet her if she’s in a corner but she’s terrified.
I love when you see they are starting to trust you.
I feel bad for her family.
Well, the heart palpitations have slowed me down some. Just sort of waiting for winter to go away. I have Reynaud's and my hands are very sensitive to cold.
I have that too. It hasn’t been as bad this winter as other years but the temps have been milder.
