The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Cold one here today....
Hi Phil, nice to "see" you.

Is that time of year again
Spiffy fishing shanty you have there!! Good luck with the catch.

My husband said he read that the prices will be going down in the next couple of months, problem is we need to buy some now!
So .... what's the rush? Nothing wrong with procrastinating until the prices are reasonable again instead of settling for something you don't really want. I'm not a real big fan of plywood. What are you doing with it that you couldn't do with real wood? What is the board foot price for 3/4" oak? The $138 you quoted for the plywood comes to $5.75/BF.

My little OEGB pullet's eggs are so tiny (only 20g which is around 0.7 ounces)
I ASSUME she is a bantam? 20g is Puuuuuuuny!

What do you peeps think of Barred Plymouth rocks? I'm seriously thinking of extending my girls with that breed?
I have 2, they are good birds and lay well. I've had 13 different breeds, BPR are one I would get again. There are others that didn't make the cut.

@JaeG .Just mention "Work" around here, and everyone runs for the hills!:barnie
Sounds like my DD2 lives at your house!

Oh it is, But I'm bored as heck right now! :th Even the chickens won't play with me today!
Have you tried tying a mesh bag of scratch around your neck?

Thank you so much! Hoping one day, I won't need to buy as much bread.
I've had very good luck and consistency with King Arthur's Basic Sourdough.

The horse was suppose to be his designated driver..
Should have been perfect! A self driving vehicle that knows its way home.

Then I retired, and bought a farm. (To raise chickens) :celebrate
Better than buying THE farm!

I'd love to keep it but I really can't and I know it's going to make someone the most amazing pet ever.
You have such lovely birds. Like dd said, too bad we can't get any of your hand raised cockatiels. I suspect they make the best pets. Of course I also suspect our 3 cats would terrorize the poor birds if we had any.

57 years ago today the Princess and I became us/we. :love
A very happy anniversary to Sour and (saint) Princess!

@ronott1 :frow you are a baker! Hahaha I am going to try making pineapple upside down cake, soon and DH wants to try a Portuguese cupcake recipe so the mixer should go to good use. I just need to find my paper that explains what gadget does what.
I made an upside down cake once. (Then I repaired the carpet, so it wouldn't happen again):old
