At least it's probably cool in the basement? We're in for a hot one today...we're going from 56* this morning to 96* by this afternoon. These 40* swings are hard.

It is cool in the basement. I shut the air off last night. We have a high of 73 today. I agree, the swings are hard.

You and the raccoons reminded me of what happened at the golf course about 2 years ago (can't remember if I mentioned it).

They were all over the course and getting into everything, including DH's office which has a cat door. The guys were kept busy trapping them almost every night. During one of DH's trips up here to Casper to work on the house, he left his 3 maintenance guys in charge of the trapping. The first one they trapped, they felt sorry for and thought they'd give the coon a chance to "do the right thing and leave". Of course it climbed straight up the closest tree. The 3 stooges didn't want to shoot it so they got the bright idea of trying to smoke him down. The tree caught on fire, burned to a crisp and almost took the pro shop with it. The raccoon escaped to raid another day.
