Has your garden produced enough to start canning Bob?

Not yet. I need to get the drip irrigation reloaded and I'm hoping to soon be flush with tomatoes.

DH and I got to taste our first cherry tomato yesterday...it was delicious!

Nothing beats home grown tomatoes.

Hope you get your canning lids so you can do the beans.

I hope so too! You can’t find them anywhere local. I found Ball ones with rings at Target online. I didn’t need the rings but ordered them anyway as there are limited options.

I have one of these to keep from heating up the house. It's nice when I do stock as I can have two canners going at once.

We are 70 already and heading for 90 and humidity is at 96%

It’s going to be hot here the next 10 days. So when your humidity is that high I assume it’s like being in the tropics? I go by dew point. When it’s in the 60’s your miserable and the 70’s is horrid.

We cut it right down the middle and shared it. The plant is loaded with little green ones so I'm sure it won't be long before we can each have our own.

I just stay inside unless I'm going out to the chickens, I do need to get outside and water the plants ad they are looking a little rough from the heat.

I like the cherry tomatoes for salads and snacking. But for canning, sandwiches and such you do need the big ones. We have 1 full size tomato plant too but so far it just has green ones on it.

Done watering and back inside, it's not bad outside yet. We have lots of green tomatoes, just wish they would hurry up and change so we can eat them
