Berts been doing a good job of terrorising me!

Wish i could get bread flour here - dunno why they stopped selling it. Only way to do it now is to buy 90kg sacks and that won't work for me.

Whats Carrabas italian sausage?

Carrrabas is a restaurant and DH was there on a biz lunch the other day, said their soup was delicious. So I found a copycat recipe I'm going to make up for dinner tonight.

You don't have to use bread flour to make bread. Just use the all-purpose and maybe a bit of wheat gluten if you have it to help with the rise. I make quite a few breads that don't require bread flour or the wheat gluten.

Ah ok re: sausage.

Tried, but not happy with the results. I could walk a couple of miles to get a decent loaf, but I'm too lazy, and its too hot. Tomorrow though i will.
