The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

There's something wrong with me. Yes, Berts, you've been saying it all along but now I'm agreeing with you.

I ran into TSC just to grab a bag of dried mealworms and stopped dead in my tracks half way to that aisle. They had birds...chicks and ducklings to be exact. Lots of them. Different large tubs full of bantams and Wyandottes, RIR, and red sex links and Pekin ducklings. While I'm standing their with visions of chicks & ducklings with crazy thoughts racing through my head (would DH notice? how many can I afford? do I have a red bulb for the brooder? etc.) I get a phone call from someone that wanted information on our house.

This was the 1st phone call from someone that was actually interested and wanted lots of detailed questions answered. And what am I doing? I'm drooling over those chicks and ducklings. I hope I answered her all questions because I only remember about half of what she asked.

We want to sell our house and I'm totally distracted by baby birds. Something is not right with this.

that sounds kind of normal for folks that frequent this board?

Ah, ain't love grand?

Are you serious about lack of oxygen being a problem? If so, sorry for the off-hand comment. Not being able to breath is no laughing matter.
My husband has bronchitis from this, and my lungs feel swollen so I get winded easy, I keep waiting for a heart attack, anyone familiar with Red Fox, Sanford and Son, "Elizabeth I'm coming to join you." I act that out often, my dogs aren't impressed. Though I keep thinking I need some of your cute cupcakes to cheer me up.

I'm surprised about how shy Phil is about leg hair. He does have a wiener dog, they have leg hair.

I'm guessing that Phil doesn't think the same thoughts about the dogs legs........

It's normal around here but have you ever had to apologize to someone for being distracted because TSC was having their chick days? I couldn't focus on selling a big ticket item like a house because I was distracted by a $3 chick. It's not right.

So sorry your DH has bronchitis, that's no fun at all. Please don't pull a Fred Sanford, we need you here to help keep the guys awake.

Did you get any?

No

But it was fun talking to a guy that ran in to get dog food and he told me all about his flock. And the cashier told me all about her Showgirl.

That's about the time I remembered I had frozen groceries out in the car.
