The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Guess I'd better fill you in a little bit here. Jenny just dropped Kendra off for the day and apparently when they got home last night there was a message on their answering machine with Kendra's surgery date.

So the three of us will be heading for Denver on May 30th. Kendra's surgery is scheduled for June 1st. They are doing both the Mitronoff and the ACE procedure at one time so they only have to do one operation to handle both issues. We don't have to stay down there for the 3 weeks like we thought.....they'll discharge Kendra after 7 days, send her home with waste bags attached, and then 3 weeks after discharge we'll take her back, have those drainage tubes removed and be taught how to use the catheters and do the colon cleanout. I feel so bad for Kendra. She's not going to understand any of this, and we can't explain to her that this thing won't hurt, or that thing will hurt for a minute but then it will be over.....being non-communicative when something this major is happening will be so hard on her.

In the meantime, 8 of the 27 eggs I have in the incubator are still doing well, but had to pull 19 duds. Okay, I'm thinking. 8 is manageable and probably much better for a beginner at all of this anyway. Then I won second prize in another contest......6 BA eggs. Oh oh. PM from the person who donated the eggs indicated there was a little concern about the fertility so they were probably going to send me 4 of those and a couple of another breed to make the 6. Got a PM last night. The eggs have been shipped.....11 of them.

Blooie, keeping Kendra and your family in my thoughts and prayers. It won't be fun going through but hopefully, there will be a brighter side at the end.

You keep winning these contests, I think a Power Ball ticket might be a good idea for you!

Wow... That's a heck of a post to quote.... But I'm all in on Twinkie day!!!!!
Good morning! I stick with the safe Caramel Popcorn Day today. Hairy backs have to be worse than hairy legs, huh? :D
My wife keeps threatening to shave mine....:/
It takes all sorts in this little world of ours WV - for all we know, there may be guys that ask their gals to wear back wigs! :lau
NO
:gig Had a business associate many years ago from Texas that used to stay with us from time to time. When I washed the sheets off that bed, there was enough hair left over to cover a small dog. I'm glad I never had to see him nekkid :D
If you had that would be awkward..
Lid for every jar? Not in my pantry. I always end up with more tops than bottoms or vice-versa and then the wrong tops or the wrong bottoms, so I purge and start over, then I find the missing tops and have to throw them out. And sometimes I just get so Confused! :hit So I just go get a cup of tea and deal with it another day.
Good plan.....
We like it Eggsy. We pay $6 a month for a box of 4 blades (got the handle for free with the initial package as I remember). DH was always super picky about razor blades and he's happy with these. They are a lot less expensive than the ones he was buying at the store and the monthly package is sent straight to house every month.
I pretty much use up a blade a day.... My beard is freaking thick..... In the air force I had to shave twice a day
The razors at our store are behind lock and key they are so expensive. My husband is okay with the bic disposable, but these seem cheaper, is shipping included in the price?
I keep hearing about locked up razors..... Never Seen it..... Odd?
Remember, I was a very controlled and sheltered youth. We can refer to my disability as naivety... but what does leaving a window open mean?
400
Haha... Don't want to jump out this one
Generally some fool will jump through it. :p Does that help?
;)

yes! You get to practice some more. You going to add more of your own eggs again?

Neither can I but WV actually lives there! :) After yesterday this is child's play surely? Not sure I'm gonna get that squealing out of my mind for a while and it's way past my bed time but self inflicted so I'll take it on the chin.
