The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thanks. After I posted my denseness, I realized you were close to the equator, duh. Geography never was one of my strong suits.

Ah, c'mon, its not denseness - it's Monday

No, I didn't make them. Just got lucky with a good sale at a Bed Bath Beyond on our last trip to Cheyenne. I'll see if I can get a picture later, it's kind of dark in here right now.

That's ok, it can be tricky photo graphing anything on a window.

I want to see them too. I was looking for chicken fabric but couldn't find it.
I have found some on on-line fabric stores but they are always pricey and limed in design and colors.

As long as a nap can be accommodated, thats not too bad. At least here, I always know what time it is, once day breaks - the time never changes - 6:15am every day of the year (give or take a minute, or two).

I'm fine thanks, Debby. Just ripped out the coop in the grow out pen. My two chicks were killed on Saturday, so I've killed the noisiest hen on earth, sold her and 30 eggs, which along with my 3 meaties that i sold last week, should give me enough money to make the grow out pen more secure. I have ten 8 day old chicks that need to be moved along in 3 weeks or so, AND I've just set the incubator not 10 minutes ago

So sorry about the losses

- did the Hen kill them or was it the predator?

. @N F C - maybe you are waking up too early because you are having a day off too?

They just recalled MY washing machine - when I bought it I made sure it wasn't one of those that Blow up -- and now I find it is one of those that can

.. The dodo's suggest washing only on gentle cycles until arranging repairs/ reinforcement ....real people cannot clean clothes just on a hand wash cycle
barnie.gif
. And with about 3 million folks needing the fix, bet it will take eons to get a repair guy to come out. So, gonna continue on the high spin cycle and stay remote while it washes

. The old agitator washers lasted decades and were safe!

@CTKen it is so interesting to hear about the differences in the time/weather, etc of locations. I envy the predictability of sunrise, but not the unchanging seasons or length of days.

The washing machine woes continue - first DMC (or was that a dryer - can't remember) and now you! Sorry though, it's a bum deal.

Our seasons are either dry or rainy. Rains are good, but the traffic gets like it does in the UK when it snows

oh, and the power cuts are a joy to behold!

Thanks, SF - it was a predator. Mongoose is the most likely candidate. The positive side of things is that they were in there to see if the pen was secure, so they lost their little lives for the greater good of the 10 chicks that are bound for that pen in 3 weeks time

Daughter and SIL completed the NY marathon unscathed. Here's the weird part although he started a half hour before her their finish times differed by 1 second. 1 second difference in a 26.1 mile race.

He was 1 second faster. That will drive my over competitive daughter nuts.

Mine just got fixed last Monday and it's working good. What kind of machine do you have? Scary that it can blow up!!

I was given false information by the Princess. He was 1 minute and 18 seconds faster.
