The weather sounds nasty both in Blighty (and in some parts) over the pond - good enough excuse to go back to bed, I'd say.
 
Good morning! I don't want to go outside today...sounds windy and will only get worse. I think our storm is going to shift a little so hoping not to get as much snow. I have 4 cleaning jobs today so I suppose I better kick it into high, have a great day.

I think it's entirely possible to celebrate a multitude of holidays.........

one I would not consider the requirement for you to celebrate would be national stupidity day........silliness day, maybe......
