Yep, a genuine Chicken Coupe for Santa, Chris. See?

I Love this! Once again Blooie comes thru with a WOW

Debby, given that 4 years ago she was suffering with Lupus nephritis and the possibility of near death --------- Yeah ! It's a BIG milestone.

Wow, so glad she has that behind her now. Good for her and all of you!

Wow, Sour, I was just thinking that there was a time when you weren't sure you'd ever see this milestone, but was it really 4 years ago? Gads, how time flies.

So glad you had a good trip, and a good visit, and I hope she had the happiest of birthdays!

Blooie, that chicken coupe is too cute!

Sour, so happy that things are going well for your granddaughter and that you all got to spend her 18th birthday together! Those moments are small events taken one at a time, but combined with a lifetime of laughing, crying, and worrying each celebration becomes a memory that makes each of us who we are.

Debby, I was hoping you'd have a good time at your Christmas Party - ain't it funny how often the dreading is worse than the doing?

Banty, good luck with your SH. Keep us updated....

DMC, I assume your 4 hour trip is behind you and you are safe and sound at home following the concert!

We had a snow band move through here again yesterday and last night. Another 3 inches. <sigh> At least it's not as cold. This morning the thermometer says 0 but with thankfully no wind it's almost bearable. Next week is going to be bad here for temperatures...expecting an overnight low of -14 degrees by Friday. This is all starting pretty early for us up here - this is normally what it's like here in in January and February. Winters aren't as brutal as they are in other areas of the country, but they go on for so doggone long! A couple of years ago we had snow on June 6th. As long as the weather is good from the 17th to the 22nd I can put up with the rest, I guess. Just don't want any bad weather for the kids' trip to Denver. <sigh>

Glad you all liked Santa's Chicken Coupe! It sorta bends the rules a little but so many posts on here spell "coop" either "coupe" or "coup" I thought I might get by with it and stay within the "Your entry must include a chicken coop" rule. Still not sure I'll even categorize it as an actual "entry". There are some killer entries over there and I really did mine more to participate than anything else. If I do count it as an entry, I'll edit the post to reflect that.

Good morning Blooie and all! Yes, we are home safely. What a trip...we bucked constant snow drifts for about 60 miles took 4.5 hours. I've gotten less then that for sleep so could be a long day.

Good morning!

DMC, glad you enjoyed the concert! Hope the kittens didn't destroy the house while you were gone. When we got home from the party, we found nuts all over the living room floor from the nut bowl on the coffee table. Apparently some sort of experiment was performed by the cats and it was determined that walnuts roll the best

Sour, happy birthday to your g-daughter...18 seems like such a milestone birthday.

Banty, good luck with the SH!

Blooie, said it once and I'll say it again, love your g-bread coupe.

Hi Debby...had to chuckle over that

We locked the cats in the bathroom so nothing was destroyed. The way these 2 wrestle the house would have been a mess. I caught this picture of the 2 yesterday...totally asleep...wish I could sleep like that!!
