I haven't given up. I will find some. She's gotten coal almost every year since the kids were aware. They thought it was a blast. For Christmas we have 'naughty' and 'nice' pillows on our bed. I always switch her side to naughty and mine to nice when the grandkids come over for Christmas.

Love fun traditions like yours!

When we first moved her 51 + years ago there was only one restaurant open on Christmas eve - a Chinese restaurant. Now even though there are many local and chain restaurants here we still eat Chinese food every Christmas eve, and then go to my sister's for a visit.

That makes me think of the last scene in the movie The Christmas Story. The neighbor's dogs eat the families Christmas dinner so the family ends up at a Chinese restaurant eating duck with all the waiters singing to them. Fa ra ra ra ra

Morning DMC!

What's going on in your part of the world this morning?

Good morning Debby! Not much, waiting for the Coffee to finish brewing... Watching the cats tear around like the devil himself is on their behinds

I have 3 cleaning jobs today so no rest for the wicked. What are you up too today?

I've been baking stuff to take to my brother's house Friday but I don't have enough tins or plastic carriers to put stuff in. Going into town today to take care of that. More cookies to finish baking. Need to make pumpkin bread or my mother may disown me. By the time the baking is finished, I'm pretty tired of looking and smelling it all

It's supposed to be pretty nice today so a good day to get out and run errands.

Good morning, ladies,

Sounds like a long day for you DMC - obviously the weather is actually decent enough for you to be out and about. Same for you, Debby in terms of baking. I know what you mean about smelling the food one makes. I like to use a crockpot, but 8 hours of the food smells pervading the house does not do anything for my appetite!
