I guess it can sometimes be the difference between someone sticking around and becoming a long term BYC member, or their not sticking around.

I think a new year brings out the "mushy" sentimentality.

- when I joined BYC, I did so at the urging of DH. I had only ever been a member of 2 sewing forums and the experiences there were not so sweet.
It was overwhelming to receive so many welcomes .... and Sour was the first response.

The key to why one sticks around is stumbling across those who are like-minded ( yep even Ken, LOL), and the comradely crazy chicken folks find here

It took me quite some time to realize the member "categories" were based on number of posts and not on expertise

A list of key players would certainly leave out someone, so here's a general thank you all for being a big part of my life ..... and IMO my only true friends. And in case y'all didn't know, Debby and I are not really twins - I'm a few months older.

I didn't know Sour was also an acrobat. Does this refer to the swing hanging from the ceiling in his room??? Oh oh did I accidentally say that, or just think it?

If by the word "room" you meant cell, then its highly likely, although his recent "tumbles" seem to have lacked the panache he once had during his more "acrobatic" days

. But yep, its a great place here - the secret is to finding RR threads where one fits in (or possibly, is tolerated) and things are great.

Sewing forums can get a bit feisty? - never had that kinda hobby down as being like that - just shows what i know (and yes, before any smarty pants chimes in, very little, I admit)
