Change of plans .. not going into the office today as the Police Commissioner and Emergency Services are now recommending that all businesses in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast shut up shop at 12 midday due to the severe weather event. Schools have also been closed for the day.

The girls are huddled together in their covered run trying to stay dry .. I hope they have sense enough to head up to the coop and that it does not blow away!

We are in for a long day .. thanks for all the best wishes

Hey Diva .. I spent my lunch half hour putting stuff back in the shed

Unfortunately I can not get the canvas off the gazebo by myself so that is a worry. The girls have taken to their coop which is good news because the cover had no chance of keeping them dry any more with the direction of the rain. Now I just hope it does not blow away with them in it. Poor girls are soaked

I did think of putting them in the shed but then they would be scared because they have not been in there before.

It is currently 1pm and we have two hours before the worse of XTC Debbie hits us and then they say it could continue until at least midnight. Because of the already water inundated soil from earlier rains plus all the rain this morning, the worry is when the stronger winds hit, trees giving way etc.




I will be so pleased when this over a week from the proverbial is over.

You are still firmly in our prayers! I wish there was more we could do....maybe when this is all over we need to send you a "CARE" package....Chicken Amigos Rescue Emergency kit....Sour, can you pack up some green potato salad on short notice or does it take a few days to age?

Okay, it's really not nice to laugh at someone who has issues, but....but.... well, got him comfy for the night! He should sleep like a baby!
