Yeah, it was a close call on the power .. no power and freezers full of food is definitely a challenge I can do without at the moment

I am excited about the coop/run .. hubby is doing is great job!

Thanks for the offer of your colleagues but I'm doing pretty good finding my own, lol.

It's hard to believe your DH has been gone so long already...seems like he just left (well, maybe not to you). Are we in a time speed warp or something? Wasn't it just 2016 like a couple of days ago?

To be honest, it does not feel like it has been nearly 4 weeks since he left .. I had to check the calendar before I posted that! While I have missed him terribly, depending on how long it actually turns out to be before I get up there, if the weeks go by anyway near as fast as the first 4, I got this covered!

While I have missed him terribly, depending on how long it actually turns out to be before I get up there, if the weeks go by anyway near as fast as the first 4, I got this covered!

Staying busy helps I'm sure. And now, thanks to Debbie, you have more to keep you busy. As stressful as that was, I'm so glad it didn't go worse...I'm sure we all heaved a big sigh of relief when the all clear was given.

Hang in there girl, you can do this. Before you know it, you'll be back with your hubster and the chooks will be living large in their new coop. And then you'll have lots of new great beach pictures to share with us!

Teila, what a mess!  I don't know anything about your soil conditions in that area...how long would it typically take for that much water to start to dry out?  Once the rain stops (and it will, I promise) is the drainage there such that what hasn't run off will soak deep down in, or will it just sorta stay on the surface waiting for wind and sun to evaporate?  

I have got to get my entry for the edible Easter thingy done.  Who am I kidding?  I have to get it started.  Thunk of.....

Ken slept pretty well despite looking like the creature from the black lagoon. But he was up and hurting pretty good by 4 am.  I heard him stirring around so I came out to see if he needed anything.  Nah, he said he was sore but he'd taken half a pain pill and it would kick in pretty soon.  HALF?  Oh, yeah, like that's gonna do anything.  So I stashed the little pill splitter, which he apparently had no trouble using one-handed, and practically force fed him the other half.  I knew the conflict of the pain vs the pain killers was going to be an issue, and some pills you simply aren't supposed to crush or cut before taking.  Grrrrrr  Looks like I have 2 disabled 5 year olds to take care of this week.

Well, this hiring business is some kind of fun.

Since the one gal can't seem to be bothered to do her HR paperwork, we decided to interview one more person for the club house. Her appointment was for 12:00 today. That time came and went. DH sent her a text to see if she was having trouble finding us...nope, she thought the interview was tomorrow.

And 1 of my helpers can't be in Monday due to a little problem with a warrant out for her arrest.
I tell you...life just keeps getting more and more interesting.
