I prefer to knit by hand - I learned from a book and you tube I have crocheted afghans, but prefer knitting. Problem is winter dry hands and yarns aren't a good mix



Hope things are going well for you and the Princess.

The Princess crochets afghans and knits, but bone on bone arthritis in her left wrist has become a problem. Right now she is knitting scarves for Christmas presents. Other than a few aches and pains the Princess and I are doing really well - I think.

Well, I was actually thinking physically/healthwise. As far as the relationship, that's always been day by day.

I know what she means - never knotted scarves, will have to investigate

@sunflour, 'knotting scarves' good catch. Actually that may have happened as the first was several feet long when she ripped the whole thing out. I retreat to BYC when that happens.

Do you knit by hand too? That and crocheting are things I never could get the hang of. My grandma used to try to show me but she was a lefty and that didn't translate well to my righty brain.

I can knit but only make scarves because pearling is harder and following a pattern is a pain. I would rather just quilt.

It will be kitty's first Christmas. Crazy Cat, his mom just adores trees. But maybe the cat tower will keep them busy.

Oh mama never climbed them, she just swats at the decor on the lower branches. I keep the breakables up high.

We have had a couple of cats that would climb the tree. We are cat free at the moment though

We used to have a pet grey squirrel. She was afraid of trees!
