The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Well, I'm 3 years clean as of August so I'm better than I was but it probably would still be good to see one. What really would have been good would have been finding one back then so I wouldn't have had to struggle with it for as long as I did.

That's awesome! Is quilting hard? And no problem!

Also sorry about yesterday

Those look great! Love the stamp!

Same! I love baked goods lol
It is not really difficult to quilt but as in all things there are varying degrees of difficulty. But effort and time and money are invested. Mostly an enjoyable hobby. I have given most of the quilts away as gifts to friends and relatives.
As far as the issues with the fish i just wanted you to focus a little more on what you have. When i was young i would be told go clean your room. I always cleaned my fish tanks first! It was more interesting than housework. I had livebearing tropical fish so i was always watching for babies to separate out before the other fish ate them. So tiny and cute!

Good morning Friends and thank you :hugs

Jae being coastal, the soil is really just sand. Another good reason to keep as much as possible in pots.

N F C DITTO! :hugs Me! Me! Me! I would like a cookie please :drool

CB777 thank you for the tip! Yep, I wear a big sun hat whenever I am in the garden for extended periods and drink heaps of water. I do try to work my way around the garden with the shade and not spend too much time in the spots the sun is brightest. We probably should use the coconuts but do not. We have avocados and a lemon, lime, mandarin and paw paw tree.

On days like yesterday and today, it is definitely nicer downstairs and outside than stuck in the house where there is less chance of a breeze.

Capricorn I do like the tropical look and lots of green everywhere but not unmaintained greenery. That before was just years of piled up, rotting palm fronds, coconuts and neglected weeds which can also be snake heaven. While the lawn area is going to be lawn, I have other areas in the garden which are slowly filling up with potted tropical plants.

Your wall hanging is beautiful! :love

Even though it is raining today and we have the chance of a tropical storm, the predicted maximum is 91.5F and yep, it is gunna be humid :sick Plans for today are the typical Sunday, finish the housework, a load of washing, trip in to town for groceries, potter in the garden between showers. Nothing too taxing today and at least I will only have those plants under the house to water, everything else is being done for me ;)

That makes sense! So do you sew them together or?

And that makes sense. I think I just probably misinterpreted and overreacted too. I guess I was also confused by the no time bit cause I had/have plenty of time but I guess that makes it worse: plenty of time and still don't do it. Anyway, yeah, you're probably right. I think I partly don't do it cause I can't get the vacuum to work so I literally have to fill bottles or cups in the bathroom and walk back and forth a million times to fill it. I need to figure out a better way.

Anyway, I do appreciate the help and sorry for my reaction too and I hope theres no hard feelings

Thanks!

I guess I'm just paranoid they wouldn't put enough stickers on it but I guess they know what they're doing.

I'm sending a couple mugs, shot glasses, and some dog toys along with a couple other small things to some friends
I found with eggs it was better not to mark them fragile , less football playing.

Not at all, we love you girl! And with quilting there are three layers. The quilt top, the batting in the middle and the backing. You pin it together and then quilt it by sewing all three layers together .
What kind of aquarium vacuum do you have? I might be able to give you some pointers.
