Growing up I used to get quite upset because my sisters would get a Christmas and birthday present while I always got the 'combined'.

My parents used to occasionally regift birthday presents for Christmas or they would get both of my brothers the exact same thing... or give/regift the other what the other didn't want. my little brother used to get so mad lol

Yes, exactly! I wanted my birthday in the summer so i could have a pool party!

My DD is still mad at me for choosing her Bday to be the 27th. I had a choice 27th or 2nd and I needed the tax deduction.

My experience with daughters is that you are going to be wrong regardless of what you do. They are, after all, women in training.
