Best wishes with the road trip Jae; looking forward to the pics! I hear ya on the heat and humidity! Hey, I saw a post the other day which I believe was a typo but I thought it quite true .. humadity

Predicted maximum today is 89.5F. Plans for today are gardening. The lawns need mowing again! That will be 3 weekends in a row! While I am pleased that the vegetation is loving this weather, I am not pleased with having to mow every weekend and remove the weeds which do not give up .. yep, I know, no pleasing some people!

Oh yeah, if I say so myself, the pie was yummo! Hubby also said it was yum .. no comment from FIL but then I did not expect one

I should mow even more often than once a week in the peak spring growing season. Once a week in summer.

Good Evening Friends

at Bruce mowing once a week is enough for moi! I cheated today and did not do the edging, just gave the lawn a trim. It is looking really good now in places, nice and green and not so thin; mow, water, mow, water repeat

Before mowing I saved a couple of plants which seem determined to grow through the lawn and popped them in pots. After the mowing I killed some weeds and then evicted hundreds more baby palms; unfortunately my ‘make your own weed killer’ does not work on them and they need to be pulled out.

Then hubby and I got stuck in to the ponds. Hubby is happy with the fluid dynamics and filter set up. I am reasonably happy with the aesthetics but, of course, I will be adding more plants New water and some hidey hole ornaments added, so now we just run it for a week for final testing [eg. pump and filter working OK, no leaks and not too much sun (we have a Plan B if there is)] and fingers crossed, next weekend, water plants and fishies!
