The Farmers' Daughter
Bob's biggest Fan
Stove. My boss, bless his heart, brought me 2 cords of wood they had cut down, although dead, they're still pretty wet. The wood smoulders a lot of the time, and as it's poplar, it doesn't give off very much heat. I'm thinking I may have to tap into what little is left of my savings and buy a cord of tamarack.Happens to me too though I'm usually good for 2-3 hours before the morning nap attack hits.
Fire in a stove or fireplace? One shouldn't have to babysit ALL night
Supposed to get to 47°F today, won't be a "January thaw" though (defined as 24 hours of above freezing). Given how unusually frigid cold it was the end of Dec and beginning of Jan I didn't think we were going to have the annual thaw, but it happened a couple of weeks ago. 27°F this morning, supposed to be 16°F tomorrow morning and about 0°F Wed morning. I don't think spring is just around the corner for us![]()
