The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

You have my condolences DMC, that is such a mess to clean up!
I have a good vacuum:lol:This cat is like the spoiled youngest child...he’s the shop kitten that hasn’t gone back out yet.
Guess I don't know cats very well (in fact I am positive) I didn't know they chew up stuff like a dog would. I thought they just knock things off from high places.
This ones loves to chew paper, boxes etc. The other 2 will chew a little on a box but usually like to crawl in it.

Unfortunately I found one of the finch chicks dead last week. Not sure what happened there but this little beauty fledged yesterday. It's very calm about being handled - it probably helps that I have Luvy and Valentines hanging from my hair and leaping all over me.

And I'm very happy to have two boys in the unusual colours in my Button quail.

This little guy is younger than the first one and just starting to get a bit of grey coming through on his chest.
Don't they look impressed at having their photos taken!?

I should have more Buttons starting to hatch in a day or so but, seeing as how the group of young ones that are in with my Coturnix are so much calmer I'm wishing I'd popped a few more Coturnix in there sooner. I must clean them out, then I can get some photos of Colossus and Co.
You take the nicest pictures!

@DigMyChicks I just noticed the name of the company on the box...chewy.com. Your cat must have thought that was a request.
:gigHave you ever ordered from there? It comes right to the front door and it’s free shipping over $49. They are carrying Tidy Cats unscented litter now so hoping it’s good. I hate scented litter and so do the cats.

We are home. It is crappy! Funeral service barely got done and it was snowing hard. Perfect roads on the way over, not the way back. I barely got time to talk to my friend, gave her a homemade cake and pretty much out the door. Stopped quick in Appleton and talked to the birthday girl and her family and we left...with a plate of goodies:ya

My Oldest DDs cat used to chew electric wires--Sometimes got shocked too! He ruined a drum controller for the Wii and lots of headphones too

Too late Ron, she's already back safe and sound.

Thanks, me too!! I’m thinking no more boxes for him:rolleyes:

Come on, he read the box and did what he was told. Besides, I'd rather have a cat chew up a cardboard box than shred the rugs and curtains!!

I think they are saying WTF, is there NO decorum here??

My Oldest DDs car used to chew electric wires
I've heard of cars having electrical problems but didn't know they were self inflicted.

So true! :lau

Good Morning Friends :hugs

Jae I am so very sorry to hear you lost your babies :( Beautiful pics! That little Quail definitely has ‘just put me down hooman’ written all over his cute little face! :lau

DMC Beautiful snow pictures! :clap

Tee hee Debby, Audrey can have the car, it is not mine! LOL That is FIL’s car and it does not move much so yes, she may just claim it for herself :gig If he does not go and sit his medical for his licence renewal soonish, it will not be moving at all :p

sunflour Yes, we have pond plants and snails in the middle and bottom ponds with the fish; also a couple of decorative ornaments in both which double as hidey holes for the fishes.

Bruce, I hadn’t really thought about the egg yolks but will probably just cook them up for Jessie and the chookens. “Deteriorated” as in stopping me from doing stuff outside :p

While I can not enter the ‘snow contest’, I will start a rain contest! :p 213mm or 8 inches of rain in the past 24 hours and more predicted!

Humidity at 08:15AM is 96% though :sick

Maximum today predicted to be 88F.

Plans for today, usual Sunday .. finish housework, washing, grocery shopping and then pottering; obviously, no watering required of anything not under cover ;)

Ooops, missed this bit off the cut and paste from Word ...........
Our capsicums are what you call Bell Peppers? They are not hot. I have hot peppers growing also, along with Habanero’s which I dehydrate to make my own chilli powder.
