Very good point! I hadn't thought of that!

I've thought about the Brinsea's but they're so expensive! How many quail eggs did you order?

Yeah, we got her spayed around 3. She's 7 now. Actually, she's turning 8 this August :hit

LOL they must know! Quick! Start laying or you'll be sold! :lau

Awesome!!

We had a dryer guy out today. Idk why. Didn't even know he was coming till he showed up. No one tells me anything lol
I ordered 25+ quail eggs. I got the brinsea cheap, used. I believe their incubation period is 18 days. It has been years! Same temperature as chickens.

We had a female cat live to be 15. She was a stray that we took in and we had her for about 3 years

That'll be fun! I'm debating what to order because I feel like 50 is kind of a lot I don't want to order too few? But the incubator supposedly holds 49, possibly less or more, so if they included extras, which some reviews on the ones I find state people do, anywhere from 3 or 5 to like 10 extra, then they wouldn't all fit in the incubator. Maybe I could order the 40 amount or 30? They have all sorts of varying amounts. But my problem is they are similat prices so I don't want to pay almost the same for 10 or 20 etc. less eggs. Idk.

Maybe I should just start small though and order a small amount and not go crazy ordering like 50 or 100 considering I've never raised them before....

Or maybe even find a local supply of chicks first?

But I do want to get an incubator, whether for chickens or quail.

The good news about chicken though is that it holds 27 so that perfectly works for ordering 2 dozen and getting a few extras cause they usually don't include as many extras with chicken eggs I don't think.

Wow that's impressive she even made it to 12 living on the streets! And that's great you were able to extend her life by a few years and make her last few comfortable!

7 or even certainly isn't really "old" by cat standards but it's just that I've had her since she was a kitten so I can't believe it's been almost 8 years was more my sentiment. I got her around 14 weeks the pet store said but who knows. We think someone possibly returned her. She was tiny though.

But that said, even though the :hit was more just a OMG I can't believe it's been that long or that she's so old, we also lost our last cat at 8 so I'm slightly nervous.

Gator is turning 6 this month. Next week actually, on the 7th.

With him it's worse cause dogs, especially big dogs, don't usually live as long as cats.

I got a new computer! I can SEE you all again.....Oh, I'm so happy! I missed you all so much!!!

Welcome back Blooie!

Yes, time flies doesn't it? My oldest DD will be 30 next week.

Thanks.....it is so funny! I popped in to say "hi" and hit "post", then started a post over on Rachel's thread. As I was typing, my phone rang and I just got off the phone after a very nice conversation with Bruce. Didn't even finish the other post until just now! :D

Now, now....you all know not to worry - you've known all along that my time visiting would be kinda on-again-and-off-again! (although I'd be lying if I didn't admit that it's kinda nice to have a whole bunch of friends living inside this box of electronics who care about each other to wonder!)

Is everyone ready for spring? Here it's thawing. :yesss:

Well, we didn't really get much snow in the first place. Most of the ground is already pretty bare.

We are in full chick production right now. 3 ovens and one on the way. Our Spring has been here. No problem selling pigs or chicks right now.
WICKED IS IN THE HOUSE!
