Exactly what I've been thinking. And now with Putin and his new ICBMs. Told DD2 I already lived through one Cold War, I shouldn't have to live through another. But, I guess, a Cold War is better than nuclear annihilation of the planet.

You must be older than I thought if your first drill was in kindergarten.

Kindergarten was 1965

For me kindergarten was 1954. <sigh> I remember the Khrushchev years..yep, drills, fallout shelters, and oh, man, when they launched Sputnik it was the end of the world!
