I graduated from elementary school 1961, and HS 1965. In the '50s we had drills where we had to sit on the floor in the school hallway,up against the walls, head bowed and arms over the head to shield it. If I had known what I was shielding from I probably wouldn't have ever gone to school. I didn't "get it," about air raid drills.

I doubt any of the kids did. So innocent back then. We had quite a lot of bomb threats in HS.

If we had them, we never heard about them.
There was a stabbing in the cafeteria once when I was in there. There was a group of Jamaicans who took their dominos a little too seriously...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Princess!

Believe it or not, today is the one year anniversary of hubby arriving in Forrest Beach and the commencement of our 3 month separation while he built the coop for the girls and I finalised things in Brisbane. While the relocation and new living arrangements has its challenges, thinking about it today, it sure beats being separated

These are James Marie jumbo quail eggs i am trying to hatch. What day is lockdown and hatch day for quail? It has been a long time. And i ordered some juvie Coturnix in mixed colors! Hubby is going to kill me. But i will die happy.

Pretty sure lockdown is day 14 (I kinda just wing it ). I'm looking forward to photos! I've been saving my Button eggs and they haven't laid for the last two days. So I set them today in case they've decided it's autumn and that's it for the season.

@sourland hope the Princess had a wonderful birthday and you all enjoyed the cake.
