We now have 4 little Coturnix/Japanese quail babies and they are so adorable. They really want to interact with us and potter over to have a cuddle when we put our hands in. Here's one that our DD has named Snowflake. Her mother is a beautiful and sweet white girl. We also got another white from our golden bunch who are in with a white boy. The other two chicks might turn out to be golden or like Colossus (who I am trying to get a decent photo of).

His name is Derek Mrdjenovich but his music is under the name Walkney. I've been following him since his other band a few years ago The Big Time and even Walkney had one or two other members from the original band at first but now it's just him but yeah.

It's bucketing down here but barely a breath of wind (which I am thankful for) though we may get a bit overnight. It's also rather cool, not that you'd know it with how little clothing my DS is wearing!!! I'm seriously considering going and digging out my slippers!

@Teila - those photos are amazing! And I love that baby wombat (wombats are pretty darn cute even when grown).

You won't be getting any eggs today! Poor things - I'm glad they all survived the trauma.

It's still bucketing down here. I need to go give my girls their afternoon snack and see if anyone has been kind enough to lay me an egg but I don't want too.
