Is it too late to plant chard, spinach, lettuce, etc.?
Definitely get on the spinach, it is a cool weather crop. Chard can handle cold, lettuce can not. If you plant it now and after it comes up it looks like it might go down to freezing overnight, cover it with a row cover.

Got this. Anyone have those angel food cake recipes?
Found this related to Angel Food cake pans:
"The three variables that mattered most were weight, finish, and a removable bottom."
Not sure how well your pan will do for angel food cake but maybe someone has successfully used that type and can respond.

Now, what are you going to do with the 12 egg yolks! I don't recall what all DD1 made with them but I'm pretty sure there were a couple of batches of chocolate truffles, they take 2 yolks each.

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup self raising flour

1 1/2 cups caster sugar

12 egg whites

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1/2 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Be sure that your 10 inch tube pan is clean and dry. Any amount of oil or residue could deflate the egg whites. Sift together the flour, and 3/4 cup of the sugar, set aside.

2. In a large bowl, whip the egg whites along with the vanilla, cream of tartar and salt, to medium stiff peaks. Gradually add the remaining sugar while continuing to whip to stiff peaks. When the egg white mixture has reached its maximum volume, fold in the sifted ingredients gradually, one third at a time. Do not over mix. Put the batter into the tube pan.

3. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cake springs back when touched. Balance the tube pan upside down on the top of a bottle, to prevent decompression while cooling. When cool, run a knife around the edge of the pan and invert onto a plate.

Remember to turn the pan over to cool. That is what the bars are for on the top--to flip and cool the cake.

Thanks Teila! Now, stupid question... what is caster sugar? And how do you separate egg whites?

Thanks! Was thinking of growing them all in pots?

And ah darn! I thought it looked similar to the one Teila had used but upon Googling, it seems like the others have flat sides? I got it cause it was cheaper, only $4, but if it's not the right kind I will get another. They had another kind there, I'm not sure on the name, maybe springform?? Or something like that, would that be the right kind? Or is neither of them right?

What is this one and the springform one usually used for?

If it doesn't work for angel food cake I can either return it and get my money back (gonna return some tarps and buckets too) or I can keep it and use it for the correct application haha

And yes, the yolks bit is a challenge. Truffles sound good. Or maybe give the dog a couple or cook some up to give back to the chickens?

Would hate to waste good eggs though if there's something delicious I can make with it haha

Not if she's able to do it. Lucky dog getting to spend so much time outdoors and getting exercise.

Yeah, they're very active people so like to get out with her

They took her to a dog friendly resprt2 near Fryeburg, Maine this weekend haha

I guess I thought it might be hard on the joints but idk maybe not

I wouldn't recommend a bundt pan or a springform for Angel food cake.
There are a lot of amazing things that you can use the bundt pan for though. Monkey bread, cakes, even meatloaf. Sprinforms are generally used for cheesecakes. I have an amazing kalhua torte that I make in a springform.
