The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Ever notice how you can tell the time of year by the BYC threads? The BYC calendar has 4 seasons just like the regular calendar, but they're named differently. While the traditional calendar has Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, the BYC calendar has:

I Just Got My Chicks And They're So Adorable!!
When Can I Put My Chicks Out?
How Soon Before I Get My First Egg?
How Do I Keep My Chickens Warm This Winter?

Google is your friend Kelsey. Lucky you to have been born after the internet and Google were created. Don't have to leave your chair to learn most anything.

Thanks Teila! Now, stupid question... what is caster sugar? And how do you separate egg whites?
You sometimes have to translate what Teila posts. Caster sugar AKA superfine sugar.

There must be videos on separating eggs. You can also buy an egg separator.

They had another kind there, I'm not sure on the name, maybe springform?? Or something like that, would that be the right kind? Or is neither of them right?
Neither is right for an angel food cake. Not obvious in the picture but the entire bottom is separate from the sides. The "legs" are there so you can invert the cake after baking to cool.

Poor little ducks, walking their webbed feet off just because somebody thinks it makes a great video. I hope they eventually found their mama.

I think that was their mom in the video? Sorry, it's a bit of a long video, too long imo hahah but basically they were in the store so they walked them across some streets and found a pond. Although I don't get why they had to break that guy's fence cause surely there was another entrance to the pond?

But either way, I do agree that it's much too far a walk for such little duckies. Granted, they managed to walk all the way to the store, but that's even more reason why they shouldn't walk back.

Also, clearly no one knows anything about ducks because all you'd have to do is put some food in that box or a cage and she probably would have walked right in...

Good Morning all :frow

Happy Mother's day to all the Moms out here.

Thanks

I was gonna Google but figured I'd ask friends first :p

Although I did Google Caster sugar but some comments said that sugar in the UK is much coarser than the US sugar and so Dominos sugar is the same thing?

And thanks I'll look for an egg separator or a video and I think I will order that pan

Anyone know anything about clover and can help me decide?

I think I read red has more protein? But that might have been millet not clover???

And idk if it matters for jelly?
I just replied to your post in the other thread. And you're right google duplex is cool, scary and weird all at the same time. I enjoyed building my first computer from a heath kit... I've enjoyed watching the development of computers... I'm just not ready for AI!
