My favorite pumpkin is a gooseneck... Super easy to clean and can.

Yep, need to keep the vine pruned back to the first pumpkin, You only get 1 pumpkin per vine but they get huge!

So you have to keep the vime trimmed? Figured maybe you could just pull the bulbs or whatever off

If something happens to the one pumpkin then you have none

A couple of years ago I grew or at least tried to grow the giant pumpkins...suppose to get to 500lbs. well, mine only got to 70lbs.

Apparently there is a science and closely guarded secrets to growing the big ones.

That makes sense! It does say on mine for full size to keep one pumpkin per vine. Hopefully no fertilizer will be necessary as I put them on the old chicken run since we're not eating them raw or really at all lol

I cook pumpkins for the birds. My goats ate them raw, i just chopped them up. I love the seeds.

I got cukes and potatoes from my garden today

I planted them when it was time

In a greenhouse!!! No way those cukes grew outdoors in MN. I planted mine "at the right time" too and the plants are only about 4" tall now. Heck my dang peas are just starting to flower and they've been in the ground since the end of April.

They got their tails docked today. It'll be illegal in Canada starting Aug 1 to dock tails. She seems to think it'll be a selling feature.

The mother is a rottie. Father is a hound mix.

Um, and they docked the tails because ... Rottie's are traditionally docked? Frankly I can't see a Rottie/hound mix combo bringing much money docked or not. But then what do I know, people buy all sorts of weird mixes.

That would actually make sense! At least for the adults. I would hope the kids competition would be less ruthless lol do they even have one for kids? Maybe not
