The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

He's not leaving US he's leaving his current job for a new one. Dry your Rocky Road tears Diva.

And keep in mind that I now know how to hunt you down too:tongue:gig
Wait, Blooie has another "on the side" guy? I don't feel special any more :(

Having lived around the world, I think it's good for everyone to understand the great diversity in this world rather than block it out and paint a wide white sloth over that very unique thing that makes us all unique yet still connected in some way.
Very well said. I think the "Average American" would do well to listen to the BBC once in a while. Did you all know that there are countries other than the USA??? ;)

You aren't going with the flow (of booze)! There is definitely a "we are in the same herd" mentality no matter where you live. Might be how people dress, how they talk, what sort of vehicles are common. If you aren't in that herd, you are looked upon with suspicion.

:thI don't know about "there" but "here" the bartenders are supposed to keep an eye out for people who are overdoing it and cut them off. I don't know if there is any legal liability on them though.

I kinda figure if you are having a good time, you might want to remember having a good time. Getting drunk sort of negates that.
My son is working a big wedding tonight that the booze will be flowing very freely at. I wonder if the cops will be watching or ignoring as there is a lot of alcoholism on both sides of these families.
Folks, On one side I'm sad to be leaving the group I've been working with for the last six months... They gave me a chance when no one else would. That means something. And they've treated me great! On the other hand I only have four work days left until I start my new career.... And I'm excited. One of my new duties will be working with old friends and helping them stay on track. For those who believe everything happens for a reason, I'm convinced that the last couple years was to teach me humility... and maybe patience. IDK? But I'm ready to hit the ground running, but not go far outside my new box. I think it's time to do well but not over achieve too much and just enjoy the waning years of my life. Crazy thoughts...?
I’m excited for your new adventure!

You're a wise man Bob.

An early good morning everyone!

Michelle, your new name threw me off for a second...good thing your avatar was still the same or I'd have thought someone new had joined the group

Bob, I'm one of those people that think everything happens for a reason and there's always something to learn from what we go through. How great you'll be able to work from home, doing something you like, with people you know...I'm sure you've earned this! And isn't it wonderful when other's (like your soon-to-be current employer) give us a chance when we need it.

Bruce, thanks for the image of DD snorting rocky road...now how do I get that image out of my head?
