The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good morning DMC, DD and everyone :frow

Sean, keep us posted on how things work out with your leg. That would be great if you didn't need to have surgery! If you want another opinion, maybe this guy would give you a consult

Blooie, good news on Tam's offer being accepted on the cute house. Moving is a pain but hopefully, this will be the last time she has to do it. I think that's nice Katie and Kendra are both going to camp this summer!

Whaddya think, guys......should I give Sean instructions on how to hang a doctor in effigy if he's not happy?
Can't hurt to be forearmed ;) Not sure he would have the issue you had. Not likely to say no food for leg surgery (and yeah it would be great if it isn't necessary).

LOVE Tam's house, so happy for her. Of course I like older architecture anyway. And built in 1917, solid full dimensional lumber, not the 1.5"x3.5" or 5.5" stuff we have now.

You know, Ken could have gone into the lodge and started with "Guys I need a favor". He would have gotten no farther before the chorus of OK happened.

I am waiting to see what the verdict is , Sean! Good luck!

Me too me too me too.....

Sean is too nice to do that Blooie. Maybe we could do it for him, or voodoo dolls.

Yeah, he is. I, however, am not! ;) All you have to do is say the word, Sean...I probably have a headless, armless or legless Barbie doll around here someplace to use as a voodoo doll!

That's pretty much what happened, just not in those exact words.

Do you guys realize that in less than a month this whirlwind that I've been dreading will be upon me? August 13 is Ken's installation as GM. Keep my place warm for me and remember me fondly as I shall remember you. <sigh>

Debby, have you had any damage from the huge storms that have gone through down your way so far this summer?

Waiting for Tam to get here so we can head to Powell and she can get her homeowner's insurance quote from our agent. Then we're on a hunt for boxes too! Ken has to go to Wheatland and will be gone until tomorrow night and I'm stuck driving the Tundra so he can take the Rav. I hate driving that truck.....I can't see over the hood!! I could run over an oil rig and never even know it was there. Then on Thursday we leave for Salt Lake for 4 days, get back here and then leave for Jackson two days later. And so it begins....I'm too old for this life!

Morning all:frow

Blooie - I like the idea but with my luck it would probably backfire!

Cap - I won't know anything till 3:15p.m. today!

Everyone else, thanks for checking in on me, it's really appreciated. With all the support you guys are giving, it has to go good.

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate

Does she not like using the phone? Lots faster than driving to a place just to get a quote.

You know we will hold a seat and think of you often and fondly @Blooie! Just remember, one month to installation. Then only 12 months before UNinstallation ;)

She does, Bruce, but since I want to take her to lunch and it's next door to our insurance company, might as well start there with a familiar agent.

The UNinstallation will be much harder than the installation. We are then in charge of hosting the Grand Lodge.....decorations, gifts, hotel arrangements, auction, 2 banquets (one formal with seating charts we have to figure out and one casual), greeting all dignitaries, host and hostess welcome bags for every guest, 4 luncheons, (2 for the ladies, 2 for the gentlemen, hospitality room, 1 breakfast, awards ceremony, and the incoming GM's installation ceremony. All for around 200-250 people. I ain't exactly the epitome of decorum and etiquette. I know enough not to scratch my hiney in a buffet line and not to eat peas with a knife unless I have honey, and that's the extent of it.
