The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

@KDOGG331
Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to show those to hubs. Frank is a bull terrier mix so we need HEAVY DUTY for the most part. So far Kong can stand up to him, phew!

No problem! The Planet Dog one is a heavier runner so it's solid and easier to throw and I think more durable. It's a bit more expensive but I think it's worth it. Though they of course got it for free when Libby stole it from another dog lol

Also the Kong one so far is great. Granted, we've only used it today, but it was taking a pretty good beating with her prancing around with it and chomping and slobbering all over it. She would take it and run around with it over her fsce, drop it and pick it back up, fold it, chomp it, lay down and chomp and slobber on it. She evem tried burying it in dirt lol and I thought for sure there would be a puncture or tooth mark watching this and not being able to get it back immediately but nope. Only downside is the flying ability. But it flies like halfway across their yard which is very large so it flies pretty well I suppose. Some reviews said the black one is even less durable for some reason but it probably depends or maybe they got a bad batch. So just a caution if you decide to try this one.

The ChuckIt one seems like it wpuld fly really well. And they have other models too which I think all have different flight patterns and designs. They even have a flying squirrel lol

And someone was telling me there is a nerf ring too that's supposed to be pretty good.

I want to get them all and try them all but I just bought the Kong one and she's not technically my dog (though she's my fur niece lol :p ) so I don't want to buy a million toys or spend all the money I'm earning. I might try some others eventually though and get back to you. But her favorite part seems to be after she retrieves it anyway so it doesn't really matter I guess.

I have the worst tan lines rn. I've been outside a lot this summer but I usually wear a t shirt so my forearms are really dark and then under the t shirt line it's legit like pure white :lau

ALSO. We went on the boat and I went swimming for the first time in forever except the tide was going out and I didn't realize it so I started drifting down the river and had to swim back up against the current and now I can't move my arms... Like my arms legit cramped up/froze when I was trying to swim back and then I started panicking cause I thought I was gonna drift out to sea :lau

Meanwhile my family watched/kind of laughed and did not get in the boat and come save me. :rolleyes:

Granted, I was nowhere near drifiting out to see and not that far from the boat lol

And admittedly at first I floated away on purpose, it was relaxing. Till I had to get back.

Thankfully I had tried swimming a little bit right before, got tired, and decided I needed a lifejacket. Not realizing it was the current at the time. So I got one and started floating downstream pretty fast. Then panicked trying to get back/went backwards again a few times. They kept saying turn towards shore, which I eventually did, cause at first I was trying to swim straight on towards the boat which was way further up lol

Anyway, my arms are still cramped and tight but less so now.

Glad you made it safely and had fun! Hope you didn't burn the glare off your upper arms!
