The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

love sweet corn but, it's been getting worse every year.

The only really great corn I had was from the guy next door. I gave him 3 bags of mulch, and he bar-b-qued a treat for me some ribs, some chicken and fantastic corn. Forget to ask him where he got it. He only grew flowers this year.

Great to see you back!:frow Sorry to hear about your DS. Skin rashes are never fun! :sick
Hope he's better real soon.
Tell your DD, Happy B-day!:ya I'd send her a pair of yellow goldens, if I could! :(

Hope your almost finished with your remodeling so you can get to looking for a new place. :)

Sean, we'd love some of your gorgeous birds. You're too sweet! If only... It would be quite the trip for the poor things though. Hope you are fully recovered from your operation.

We are almost finished here and it's good timing as there are finally a few new properties starting to be listed in the areas we are looking in.

Guess who is sick now?! Hopefully I'll be OK for Saturday to make that cake. I baked the cakes yesterday and froze them because I felt a bit chesty yesterday and thought I'd make hay while the sun was shining. Glad I did as I'm very tired and achy today. DS is better but still coughing. I dragged myself out to check the birds earlier then had to debate whether I'd make it up the steps to the back door or whether it would be worth the effort to shuffle around to the front of the house and go in the front door where it's just a flat walk in.

Glad you caught your buck Cap and that he's survived unscathed. Do you have wild rabbits around? Just wondering if you might see a few droopy eared young ones about.

Oh yes, i saw a wild rabbit very recently grazing with the guineas at the top of the driveway. He may have been busy!

Finally a breather!!! Ain’t gonna last long, but I expected this week to be going at full tilt, and it’s going faster than I ever anticipated. Today was a clothes trying and rejecting marathon. My stuff is all ready to go, but Jen left everything to the last minute, can’t find the formal clothes that Katie took on the cruise, and I was NOT going to Billings again today. So they brought over all of the possibilities and we tried everything one outfit at a time. Finally weeded it down to a take pile and a reject pile. It’s so hard because Katie is just so terribly overweight and nothing really fits. Add asymmetrical hips and a missing rib and it was an exercise in futility. But we managed. Then I had to wash them all. I packed them in the garment bags with my things, otherwise Jenny would just ball them up and stuff them in a suitcase.

I don’t expect I’ll be on much for the next week or so, although I will, as always, sneak in when I can and try to keep up with your lives. Love you all.....
