It's kind of funny what we understand in this world compared to those who don't raise birds... I mentioned to a friend at work that I needed to candle eggs and boy was she perplexed.

Yep, to those that don't have a clue, they think your using a wax candle!

Bob, sorry about the mess. Being the incubator ignorant person I am...does that mean none of the eggs in there will be good to finish hatching?

This world vs. that world...I mentioned to a co-worker my chickens were starting to molt. She thought I was saying they were getting moldy. I could not set her straight, she was totally perplexed about why I have moldy chickens. Do you suppose she won't want any more eggs?

It really all depends on how well the hens protected the eggs with the bloom and if I damaged it while handling them. We'll know in about 9 days for sure how it will turn out.
