The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

@N F C I'll be waiting for photos of your trip!

I'm officially stressed - the house went on the market this morning. Here's the link if you want a nosey: https://www.trademe.co.nz/property/...75.htm?rsqid=86dd12fce06e4ca28139973bf3a1b86f

I've had to reinstate the divider in my chicken coop. After ages being fine together some of my bantams are getting bullied. One had blood all over her neck the other day and when I was cleaning out the coop yesterday this particular one, Cotton, literally launched herself at me in panic, landing on my chest, because one of the Orpingtons (who is a particularly greedy bird and bossy to boot) started coming towards her. Cotton is a nervous bird who generally isn't friendly (she's been like that since she hatched) so I was very surprised she sought out my protection. So she got to free range for awhile with some of her little bantam friends while I put the barrier back in place. Free ranging them makes me nervous because of the steep sided stormwater culvert that is home to at least 5 sizeable eels, but they had such a lot of fun grubbing around in the dirt finding bugs.

Here's our Cotton who is a gorgeous example of a Pekin Bantam (same as your Cochin Bantams) with enormous foot feathering. I actually found they were all calmer and friendlier when they were out of the run which was nice (made it easy to catch them when I needed to go back inside). You can see little Winter in the run wondering why she is missing out on the fun, though I'm thinking I could be wrong about the 'she' bit, as yesterday Winter kept chasing his/her mother making the funniest squeaky/laughing (cooing) sound.

Anyway, I'd better go keep cleaning so that everything is spick and span! :barnie

Jae, your house is beautiful, it looks like something out of a magazine! Hope you find a new one soon that works well for you, keep us posted.

Cotton is a beauty!

morning everyone:frow
i'm back, been under the weather, one of those nasty bugs bit me on the corner of my egg and i was pretty sick there for awhile and naturally it was on the weekend when no dr was in

Glad you're feeling better Sharron! Can you catch one of those bugs and post a picture of them?

Good morning, Chat Folk.

:lau:gig:lau:gig:lau:gigSour you crack me up :yesss: Sour, can you describe the dress??

Beigey, Taupe - billowy and flowing - 'Al' is faceless and surrounded by a gold/pinkish aura.

Good idea.

:pop

Is it edible?

I am hungry...

There appears to be a moth chewing on the shoulder - explains the holes in the dress.
