The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I’m beyond happy to report that Kendra is just fine! Turns out the prolonged drives, being mostly in her chair for the three days in Denver, then a 17 hour drive back inflamed the major nerve, which swelled and caused her artery to narrow a bit. It restricted - not totally blocked - blood flow down her leg. It doesn’t usually take them so long to drive there, but first they had to go to Billings to pick up the other car, then they left for Denver directly from there. Return trip they had to go to Cody to get their dog from the kennel, then back to Billings to return the car. When she sits in her car seat she always leans a bit to the left so the doctor advised us to get a memory foam pad for her car seat and rethink the trip scheduling. A few days of crawling and pulling herself up for a bit of walking should improve things tremendously. Much relief around here today! We appreciate the prayers and well-wishes. Spina Bifida ain’t for sissies- Kendra proves that every day! What a relief not to have to take her to Billings for an angioplasty.

Great news!!

I'm not sure you could build that for the $100 asking price if you have to buy all the parts. Far superior to the other one and they want a LOT more for it. Much as I enjoy building stuff, I think I'd just buy the first one.

The good part about not keeping up is that I get to find out that Kendra is OK before I post about how sorry I am Kendra is in a bad way :D

That is very true! We have a lot of extra wire lying around, hardware cloth, vinyl coated, that kind of thing, so that might save on some expense, but I definitely wouldn't be able to build it nearly as nice as that! I have no experience and my dad, while great, is more of a do it as you go and/or sometimes cut corners type so it definitely wouldn't end up as nice as that plus I don't really have the time so I feel think buying it would be best. I think it's like an hour away though but it's worth it to not have to build it. I think I will see if it is still available.

But yeah, definitely worth way more than what they are asking. That other one is way overpriced ha
