The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Hey Sean, leg any better today? When are they going to fix it?

Sure is quiet around BYC this morning...is everyone sleeping in late?
Slept poorly, didn't get up until 6:40. Exciting day for sure.
  • Replaced the cartridge in the basement water filter.
  • Cleaned the screens on the water heater.
  • Put water in a bucket to warm up to room temp to put "Adam and Eve" (*) in. Their water is getting kinda dirty
  • Went to the farmer's market. The bread guy wasn't there :( I was going to get a baguette to go with the left over bok choy soup.
  • Bought filters for the furnaces
Yep, REAL exciting.

* 2 small fish rescued from the mud pit in the pond when it was going dry. I don't think there will be enough water in the pond this winter for them to live so they will be in the house until spring. Easy life for a pond fish of unknown species.

Picked up some bird seed today. Met a nice older couple in line that was also getting bird seed and started talking to them about birds lol they were getting the econony mix, what I should have done. The birds probably don't know the difference lol I also got two 20 pound ones rather than the 40 pound one because the smaller ones are easier to handle. I was going to get the bigger one when I noticed it cause it was two dollars cheaper than two 20s but a 40 pound bag is so heavy and awkward to handle plus it might go stale faster. I figure the extra money was worth it for that. I was trying to find a fake owl but couldn't find one.

The doc "fixed it" last Wed. It's gets better everyday.

Me too! Everyone who attended the dinner at the country club in Wheatland got sick that night. A few are getting over it, but Ken and I and most of the others are still sick. Made for a miserable drive home. Those of you in more populated areas can’t even fathom how few towns there are and there are even fewer rest areas. <sigh> We’re supposed to hit the road again on Monday, coming back on Wednesday, but I just now told Ken I may stay home for these.
