Yep, thinking I'm going to!

It's why I'm in bed most of the time. Try not to move too much. Try to ignore the pain until it gets too great. Then I'll down a pill. Hate to take drugs. The only saving grace is I have lived with pain for most of my life, so I know how to just shut it out, until it gets too intense.

I am that way too Sean.... broke my back when I was twelve didnt find out till I was twenty five.... about a hundred cases of whiplash.... I pay for it now with Arthritis Knees neck back and elbows.

I suspect the no cast deal is for the sutures to heal ....but they can give you a brace and lots of padding.

I snapped my ACL some years ago... always ssaid I would have rather broken my leg instead... still do. they put me in a machine that moved my leg all night...

Just called the doctors office. He said everything looks ok on the x-ray! I still don't know about that?

I don't understand that...how could everything look ok if your leg is broken?

Yeah, i don't know anyone that would do that for me. You know i can't just turn them out to forage, the quail would get eaten. No relatives here. And i have never had anyone do things the way i do, seems like things always get missed. Like the time i had a guy who was supposed to take care of the goats. He fed them, but no water. Thank God my neighbor was taking care of the birds and noticed the goats had no water.

you got your two day feeders built... too bad you didnt mount them on the outside of the coop with the bird access on the inside... Then all you would need to do is fill the feeders from the outside of the coop. Use tubs or trays on the inside for water then you can water from the outside... a Chair for long sessions and a wagon to handle bringing feed over.

The poop and dirt can wait....should wait...

Yep, the hospital here has been know as "Death Valley Hospital" rather than Guadalupe Valley Regional Hospital.

I had gangrene and was sent from our local hospital/clinic up to St. Vincent’s in Billings. I got checked into the ER and was sitting there waiting when one of the nurses stepped up behind the desk, picked up my paperwork and asked the girl I’d checked in with, “Okay, is this the the lady who was sent up from the Pre-Morgue in Lovell?”

So this is what i see in the mirror today.

Even the sides of my face are swollen.

Um, I would suggest that until the swelling goes down, you avoid mirrors. It has to hurt bad enough without seeing what’s hurting...at least that’s how it works for me. I can have a bruise without knowing it, but as soon as I see it it starts to hurt!

I don't understand that...how could everything look ok if your leg is broken?

Looks ok from the surgery performed. I saw what it looked like during the surgery, x-rays that were taken during the surgery look totally different than the x-ray taken yesterday. The piece of bone hanging out yesterday wasn't there during the pics during surgery?
Even the x-ray tech thought it look strange, broken.
The doc is a specialist.

Pre Morgue!!! That's got to be disconcerting!

I can see how there could be some doubt, but bone sticking out should give doc some concern. At least enough to send you to a specialist.

When I was a kid, a fall from my horse sent me to the ER due to a bad wrist injury. The ER doc said it was just a bad sprain and sent me home. The next morning when I woke up, my arm was laying flat one direction and my hand was turned up the other other direction. Later that morning, the ER head said to come back for more x-rays. They found 1 broken bone and 2 others that had separated.

So mess ups happen, but with all your recent trouble, I would think they would be extra cautionary.
