Morning everyone :frow

Debby - yep, we had tornados, that front came in so fast, and was gone in 15 mins. Horizontal rain and 50 mph winds. I'm just glad the tornado wasn't too close to me.

That was too close for comfort Sean! I have family in Conroe...is that any place close to you? She's the one that told me about yesterday's predicted weather.

Happy Turkey Month, everybody! Ken’s headed for Rock Springs today (I need a little more healing time) and he’ll be back tomorrow. Hope the snow holds off - he has to cross South Pass going and coming home. He’ll be home tomorrow, then we have a Job’s Daughters function on Saturday in Gillette, which means crossing the Big Horns and it’s been snowing up there almost non- stop for a few days now. <shudder> I gave in and let Ken get my walker out of the storage shed. He got it all cleaned up for me. NOT using the wheelchair - sitting is more uncomfortable than standing and walking anyway.

Monday we leave for Green River, Torrington, Upton and Hulette. Fee goes to the boarding kennel tomorrow and we scheduled her with the groomer there. Hoping she can finish my botched attempt at stripping Fiona’s coat.

Hope everyone has a fantastic first of November!

Hope if the weather gets bad, Ken will postpone going B. Nothing worth getting caught in the mountains during a snow storm.

Last night we were getting wind and snow, it was blowing like crazy out there. This morning when I got up...nothing. No wind, no snow. Guess it was just passing through.

There's quite a bit of debris in the yard, 2x4's some tin roofing, someone's barn got hit and was deposited here. The tornado was about 2 miles from me. Even if it was closer, I couldn't get away from it on crutches! :lau

Yowser! Way too close for comfort. Glad you’re not cleaning it up. Bless your neighbor!

Cute costumes! Sounds like they all had a treat time (and I think hugs are better than candy) :hugs

They did have fun, but I sure miss the “old” Halloween traditions. Not much fun going from car to car. There’s just something about welcoming porch lights on, pumpkins and decorations to admire, the sounds of feet crunching the leaves as they walk from house to house, and hearing all the squeals and laughter ringing up and down the blocks. <sigh>

No, Conroe is about 170 miles from me. Conroe is close to Houston...that area got hammered all day yesterday.

Morning all :frow

I have never heard of going car to car. Do they all park somewhere? Around here they all still do the going house to house thing I'm pretty sure.

Yeah, I have a great neighbor, he's been looking after my birds, mowing my yard, his DW has been cooking a few meals for me....claims she's feeding me better than he's been eating! :lau he also knows if he was in the same predicament, I'd be doing things for him....I helped him out a few years ago when he was incapacitated. :highfive:

In really rural areas they do that. Here my street is a mile long with 5 houses 3 of us have 1/4 mile driveways. Kids would get tuckered out pretty quickly.
