Oh, we laughed at that one too!! And the one where Tam had to “attest” to the fact that she was going have the broken windows fixed. What’s she gonna do in Wyoming? Live with 5 broken windows in her house and use the insurance money for a boob job or something? :he

I believe I've met a couple of people here in WY that would do that! :lau

had a cousin that lost his first wife and their newborn baby to a tornado, he and the oldest daughter were in bed sleeping, his wife had gotten up to feed the baby when it hit, cousin and oldest daughter lived, wife and newborn, no . long time ago tornado's scare me alot more than hurricanes

That's so tragic. How awful! :hit

The sun is shining here but it wasn't yesterday. We had really heavy showers and very strong winds. That's coming back tomorrow apparently so I'd better get some outside jobs done while I can!

The one paper that made me laugh was the one I had to sign promising not to use the home loan to fund terroristic activities or money laundering.

What decent terrorist or money launderer would refuse to sign that :gig

Geeze - really covering all their bases there!

Enjoy your sunshine today Jae (and I hope tomorrow's weather isn't too bad)!

Growing up in Kansas, we saw our share of tornadoes so I have a healthy respect for them. The worst I saw was in June 1966, a F5 ripped through our town. There's actually an article about it in Wikipedia if anyone want to see:

Some of you may recognize the name Bill Curtis, he was our local news reporter and it was his warning, "For God's sake, take cover", that saved a lot of lives. We lived at the bottom of a hill and saw the tail go over our house and slam into the top of the hill. Our house had mud and straw embedded into the wood siding but others weren't so lucky. So much devastation, it looked like a bomb had hit. It cut a huge swath right through town.

You can bet I've always paid close attention to storm warnings.

I grew up with them too, in the very southwest corner of Minnesota and then eastern South Dakota. They scare the peewadding outta me, and I listen to those alerts carefully. We've had some in Wyoming this year that were pretty doggone impressive..unusual for our area but not unheard of. Just seemed to be more of them, and much much bigger this year. Fortunately much of Wyoming is rural, open, and empty, so they don't do too much damage, but there were 2 in Gillette and one in Laramie that stunned us all.

I have never figured out tornado geography... Where I grew up we had lots of them, but not on my block. I've seen strands of straw buried 18" into an oak. But at the end of the day, I like storms I can track.
