The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Okay so my mom hid the candy earlier (only found out cause my dad was lookinh for it) so I haven't had any today so so far, the only things I have eaten today are a Panera Bread sandwich around like 2 (half roasted turkey apple white cheddar on cranberry walnut bread and half tuna on tomato basil. Normally I would eat a whole turkey sandwich but for some reason today I was also in the mood for tuna. Everyone else mixed it up too. Tuna had lettuce tomato and onion but I picked the onion off. Wasn't happy about the lettuce or tomato either but ate it. Turkey had arugula and like coleslaw i think), a bowl of ice cream (only bad thing I've eaten all day but it's the all natural Turkey Hill kind, vanilla and chocolate. I really wanted ice cream), and then not long ago my mom made chicken broccoli ziti. And I had about 8 baby carrots with ranch dressing before dinner. Dad and brother went out but we didn't want to. Also before that I went to the grocery store and got 2 things of baby carrots, 2 things of celery, some peanut butter, raisins, ranch dressing, a ton of apples (went a little crazy and got 7 varieties), and some snacks (more on those later). And more English Muffins cause they're buy one get TWO free through the 7th and the good Thomas brand not store brand. So that's where the carrots came from. So so far today I have eaten both the most meals in a while (usually skip breakfast cause I wake up so late and often skip dinner too cause I don't go buy something till late so then I just get like a sub between 3-5 then snack all night) and the healthiest and I must say I do feel better. Well, not entirely cause it's also the least water I've dranken. Idk why. And the house is really dry so my eyes are bugging me, super irritated, red, watery. But in terms of diet, I do feel better. But now I just got into a fight and am pretty stressed out again and want crap :( but I am going to say no and eat something else. Possibly my snacks or maybe an apple or some ants on a log. Idk. I am pretty full but I gotta eat something.

And these are the snacks. Potentially gross with no sugar or salt but healthy.

It takes a while to get over the sugar stuff. You will feel a lot better soon when off of the candy and white sugar though

Usually I only go like a few days at most or maybe one time I did go a week eating healthy but I don't think I ever completely cut sugar out, I think I was still eating it, just eating healthier than I was. I wonder how I'm gonna feel aha I don't know whether to go all out and cut out like all sugar at all like even bread/simple carbs that convert to sugar; sugar and sweeteners in dressings, condiments, peanut butter, etc.; honey; fruit; etc. Or just start with the ultra refined stuff like candy and junk food? I feel like a total sugar/diet overhaul might be a bit much at once but then I'm like is it really a cleanse/going to help my body if I don't FULLY cut it out. Idk.

You can find good bread--It is very good for you. Sugar deserts and baked sweets from the store are terrible. Things you bake from scratch at home are better but should be limited.

Start a plan on limiting next week and look into carb balancing. That is the amount of fiber compared to carbs in a product. That is how you find the good bread because they lie in the description.
