The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Kelsey, don't restrict yourself too much as that's just setting yourself up for failure.
Yes! What @Jae said :D
Cut everything out and your body will crave it more. Balance is the key, not total restriction.

Only problem is we'll have fireworks going off every weekend between now and Christmas (and beyond).
Hmmm, have you thought of moving away from Auckland? :lau

Not much to say..got home at midnight after a harrowing experience driving across the mountains. May have saved a trucker's life last night. They reopened 14a, but we stayed on 14 anyway because conditions up there were bad. If we hadn't, I don't know how long that trucker would have stayed buried off the road in the pitch dark. I can tell you about it if I have time after I get this stuff packed.

Jae, stick to your guns!! Debby, there's hope for that countertop with a countertop refinishing kit. I didn't think it would work either, but Tam did it on her blue counters and they looked amazing!

I don't remember what all I planned to comment on....brain dead at this point. Love you guys, gonna be a hit or miss week. I'll either have lots of time by myself while he's in meetings to post, or no time if some of the ladies show up and feel the need to "entertain the Grand Master's Lady."

Oh man, going off the road and getting buried is a scary thought...sure glad you & Ken came along when you did to help him! (That's part of what made me buy a red car. Someone at the golf course said they were easier to find in the snow drifts :th)

Never heard of a countertop refinishing kit B, we'll have to check that out. Thanks!

We'll take whatever time you can give us so just take care of yourself and give us a shout when you can :hugs

You can find good bread--It is very good for you. Sugar deserts and baked sweets from the store are terrible. Things you bake from scratch at home are better but should be limited.

Start a plan on limiting next week and look into carb balancing. That is the amount of fiber compared to carbs in a product. That is how you find the good bread because they lie in the description.

Thanks Ron! Carb balancing sounds interesting! And baking is definitely probably better but it's so much effprt as opposed to just buying it. But I suppose that's a good thing and maybe I'll only eat bad stuff if I make it. :D

You ought to try the veterinarian diet, one of those cones around your neck - to stop mindless eating.

:lau

It's Guy Fawkes here. Our dog never used to worry about fireworks (she generally slept through the noise) but now that she's older she definitely doesn't like them. She's just a bit nervous.

Kelsey, don't restrict yourself too much as that's just setting yourself up for failure. Just try and do small changes to less processed foods for the benefit of your health (and definitely steer clear of almond/rice/soy 'milk' - all unnatural, highly processed products IMHO). Your goal needs to be good health. I recently found this article which is very interesting:

Thanks Jae! That is definitely an interesting article :)

:love

1 day at a time...

You crack me up DD:gig

That's true, if I start thinking about how long I have to go or how long it's been, I'll probably want stuff more aha

That's a good point, thanks. I do find when I stop eating stuff completely I really want it. Like when I was getting fast food almost daily and then I suddenly cut it and then I really really wanted it and did sometimes go back a lot at first but now I don't. I did the other day but now it's way more rare.

Send them to me, i love them.

Gladly!!
