Carrots are gross

Quit polluting your vegetables. Celery and Carrots don't need any accompaniment. They are great just as they come. If you want to cook something Tuscan, you start with carrots, onion, garlic and carrots. Put everything in the pot cold and then turn the fire on and pouch the veg in olive oil. If you want to go Sicilian drop the carrots, bring the oil up to 350* and add the veg. Two totally different cooking methods.

Of course, I'm also the guy who'll pick a carrot or radish or what ever and dust it off on my pants and eat it.

son is a strong man, he went back to work both times (on hip replacements ) two weeks after and was chomping at the bit to start his work outs again, he works out 2 hours every day before he goes to work, his dr allowed him to do his workouts and believe me his work outs can run grown men to do it once and never come back lol, so if they come back, he'll knock them down again:sick

They do for me! I think they are nasty but I am also not used to eating vegetables and am used to eating crap. Gotta remember just last week I was eating candy by the fistful :p and heck, I also ate the carrots right after eating a dark fudge chocolate brownie. So they are probably especially gross compared to sweets.

Now that said, these are also bagged store carrots. I was actually just thinking while eating them that fresh, homegrown carrots would probably be wayyy better

We like to roast Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt and pepper. They do smell like cabbage but taste very good!

i learned to eat that way(garden) after watching my fil, he was always picking something and eating it while hoeing the garden.
went out to feed the chickens tonight and went to move the chicken tractor and noticed a green plant that looked alot like a collard green plant, had to try it, yep, (i had planted rape in the garden and somehow or other a couple of seeds must have gotten blown into the pasture) i know this because i grabbed a leaf and ate it.:bun
