X2 on the "dust off"!Quit polluting your vegetables. Celery and Carrots don't need any accompaniment. They are great just as they come. If you want to cook something Tuscan, you start with carrots, onion, garlic and carrots. Put everything in the pot cold and then turn the fire on and pouch the veg in olive oil. If you want to go Sicilian drop the carrots, bring the oil up to 350* and add the veg. Two totally different cooking methods.
Of course, I'm also the guy who'll pick a carrot or radish or what ever and dust it off on my pants and eat it.
I feed the "baby" carrots to my mealworms for moisture. They love'em!Brussel sprouts: Steamed and eaten with olive oil and garlic powder. Of course in my family of 4, I am the only one who will touch them. My sister in law would eat a pound of them if given the chance.
"Baby peeled" carrots aren't baby carrots, they are full size carrots mechanically cut up and shaped.
