Yes. He was guarding his previous owner's chickens. After she rehomed them, he was miserable. He's anxious to work the yard, but not well trained at following human commands.

Oh what a cutie... and Todd suits him perfectly... what cross is he I know Great Pyrenees but the other side... He has an Aussie look to him...

If he follows what I gather is a common GP LGD pattern, he may be deciding if what you want at the moment is what he thinks he needs to be doing. Could be he thinks he has more important work to do. But certainly if they never did any sort of training he has room to grow and learn what you want. My understanding is that they very much want to please their people. Best reward is a good ear or jowl scrub. Of course being a mix, who knows how much of his brain is "independent thinker" and how much is "the other breed(s).
