we feed ours corn in the winter, they seem to like it , like you i don't know if it really works for the heat but they do love it, even the young onesI have an actual chicken question for you all...(shocking, I know)
I read where some give their chickens corn during the winter with the thought it makes the birds warmer. Is there any science/fact behind that? Our winters get so cold but the chickens seem to be doing ok. If it would make them more comfortable, I'd do it but is it true about corn or is that just folk lore?
