The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Its absolutely brutally cold out this morning. I just went to check on the chickens and fed my outdoor kitties and took this crazy sunrise picture and now am back in the house. It looks like a huge fire with a rainbow shooting out the top. I can’t capture how cool it is.

It's still too dark here to go out and I doubt we see the sun much.

Last night Bam Bam, Opie and I were in the living room watching tv, listening to the wind howl. All of a sudden the front door slammed open from a gust! I think all 3 of us jumped about 2 feet That door was locked (which should give some idea how hard the wind blows here).

That's really helpful to have an experienced poultry-keeper to take care of them while you're going to be gone. Less for you to be worried about.

yes. last year was her second time at taking care of them, and she always was following her papa when he was feeding but now since she hit 14, she wants to stay inside all the time, oh well, friend is helping but believe me if i could they would go with us too
but who knows, may not be able to go, will find out monday, have a dr's appt at 6:00 am about an hour away, son is taking up cause its suppose to be bad and i don't drive in nasty weather, i'm

We had a BBQ cooker made from the same metal, it lasted 46 years.

And it is kind of pretty watching the snow come down only to get whipped up, down & sideways

I don't like that kind of snow. Have to clear the parking area and walking paths several times even after it stops snowing.
