The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

DH has gone up to Casper for a few days to work on the house. Going to seem weird without him coming & going between the house and work all day long.

One of the first things he has to do is go into the crawl space. We found out whoever put the clothes dryer in did not vent it outside. All that dryer lint has been piling up in the crawl space...right next to the furnace.

Nothing like setting yourself up for a house fire :barnie

He'll be cleaning all that up and re-routing the vent. Can't imagine what people are thinking when they do something like that.
That is very silly!

Our gas dryer vents out through the lint vent--we would die without it going outside!

marriage husband from pa

That's actually similar to my parents I think. My mom moved to Florida when she was like 21 or 22, just told her father she was moving out one day and drove down, I think the AC broke too aha anyway, I think they had a mutual friend or something and he invited them sailing one day or something and I think that's how she met my dad. I think. I'm not sure if they had met before or not. But then they all became friends, there were like the 4 of them I think. Anyway, they eventually started dating. I think they lived down there like maybe 18 years or something? She was an insurance sales person. Anyways, they got married October 1988, had my brother September 1990. But then eventually they decided they wanted their kids to have seasons and snow (dad's from here, MA, mom's from Erie, PA), and because my dad grew up here, his mother and brother and all his family are up here. So eventually they moved up here. I think like spring 1996. I would have been just turning two years old (born in March 1994) and my little brother was only a few months old (born December 1995). And we've been here ever since. So 22 years. I don't think we moved in right away though, I don't think they bought this place until November, so I think we lived at my grandma's house for a while, but yeah. Been here basically as long as I can remember. For my older brother, he would have been 5 1/2 so he likely remembers Florida some and our old dog, I don't really. Also I do know that I think he just missed the cut off or something for school or they made him take kindergarten again or something for some reason cause the move messed it up so he was always a little older than his classmates.

cowboys used to make their own slings, got anything around that you could make a triangle out of, large enough to fold and tie, slip lower arm into for sling?
also could maybe take a long sleeve sweater or shirt, pin the end of sleeves together and maybe put arm in hoop that makes? where theres a will, theres a way
They gave me a mesh sling. I do have lots of fabric around here.
