Getting the referral can take time and then waiting for the MRI appt.

All the while in pain
The only time it doesn't hurt is when i am asleep. I take a sleeping pill, and am usually able to get about 7 hours of sleep. More than many folks get, but i can't sleep on my side ...have to lay flat on my back which really isn't comfortable.
It could certainly be worse. One time i had a disc problem and could only find one position that was not excruciating. I laid like that for 2 days. It gradually got better.

It is very miserable when you can't sleep pain free!

Just thinking about it can bring on some PTSD!

It is good that you can sleep better this time

Got some good news from my SIL a bit ago. My brother had hip surgery this morning and seems everything went well! We'll have to see how his recuperation goes, he's never been known for being good at following directions.

Good news NFC. I hope your brother does well in physical therapy!

X2 on following directions! :lau he'll do just fine. The pain will subside, and he will actually know him self, when to start therapy to relearn to walk....it's not easy....just takes time. Wish him the best on recovery.:hugs

Exactly! And i had to insist on getting a referral right away. They wanted me to wait and see what happens.
Hang in there Cap! Been there, done that with doc's that have a 'wait and see' attitude and me saying "no wait, do something now"!
I do hope your pain at least subsides in the mean time. :hugs

Image laying on your back for 6 months...ok don't even think about it...I can tell you it's pure hell. I just hope yours gets better.
X2 on the sleep...I do alot of that, when I sleep, so does the pain!
